#TLTTuesday

This LinkedIn campaign helps you connect in a new way with TLT.

LinkedIn is a great place to manage your resume online and build and engage with your professional network. There are more than 750 million members on LinkedIn, and the number keeps growing. Many people share their employment history, credentials, recommendations and more on their personal profiles. It’s also a great place to share your STLE digital badge if you have one (more information at www.stle.org/badges).

The STLE LinkedIn page, located at www.linkedin.com/company/society-of-tribologists-and-lubrication-engineers/, has more than 7,000 followers. This page allows members to connect more with STLE and learn about upcoming events, education, news and more. You are able to comment on, like and share posts from this page. STLE also has a group page, located at www.linkedin.com/groups/1928646/, which has more than 8,000 members. The group page allows members to engage in professional discussion with others in the industry. Members of the group can post and share news, job opportunities and more. It’s a great place to share insights and experiences, ask for guidance and build connections.

STLE has a great presence on LinkedIn, and TLT has joined now, too.

In July, STLE started sharing a TLT article from the most recent issue every Tuesday on the main STLE LinkedIn page. In every post, STLE uses the #TLTTuesday hashtag so the posts are easy to follow and search. You can even follow the hashtag at www.linkedin.com/feed/hashtag/?keywords=tlttuesday to make sure it pops up on your LinkedIn newsfeed. This is another great way to connect with TLT and read recent and relevant articles in the industry. It’s a nice weekly reminder to check out TLT’s world-class technical content. You also can connect with the writers on certain articles since we occasionally tag them. So far we’ve shared articles on base oils, car racing, metalworking fluids, interview articles and more. We can highlight certain content in TLT for you to check out. I like to share these posts and articles on my personal LinkedIn page, and this helps others learn more about TLT and STLE. I enjoy reading comments about the articles and topics as well. Your comments and likes help us understand what hot topics you are looking for in our content. A few other great hashtags to follow on LinkedIn are #STLE and #TLTmagazine.

There are people in the industry out there who don’t know about STLE or TLT and would really benefit from our organization, and LinkedIn is a great way to reach them. It’s just one small way for new people to learn about tribology and lubrication, and STLE. So please help us out by liking, commenting on and sharing the posts! Help us spread the word, one hashtag at a time.
